Dermovate cream functions as an anti-inflammatory agent by employing several mechanisms to inhibit late-phase allergic reactions. These include decreasing mast cell density, reducing chemotaxis and eosinophil activation, lowering cytokine production from lymphocytes, monocytes, mast cells, and eosinophils, as well as inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid.
